WHAT TO EXPECT

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

INITIAL CONSULT

Let’s connect and see if we’re a good fit. This is where we get to ask each other questions about the style and vision for your special day or event. I’ll want to know the number of people and attendees, the overall mood of the event, and what are the most important images and events that will likely transpire.

SECURE YOUR DATE

Weddings and Events are often planned a year in advance. Because San Diego is the #1 Wedding Destination in America, often times San Diego Weddings and Events are booked well in advance of of a year or more.

Be sure to confirm the date you want is available, and then, secure your date with a 50% retainer. Please keep in mind, this is not a deposit. This amount is a retainer and will be applied to your photography event. However, if you need to cancel, the retainer is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, no worries. The retainer would then be applied to the new photography event date.

DESIGN PHASE

This is where we get to plan and coordinate. It helps to have a planner to go over the details and the timeline, but if that’s not part of the plan, I can certainly offer lots of insight and advice on timeline and the flow of the event.

TIMELINE CURATION

This is never as easy as it sounds. But in theory, we just need to get a good idea of the how the day will unfold and what sort of activities and special moments you’ll have planned.

FAQs

Yes, I require a non-refundable 50% retainer at the time of booking to hold your photography slot. The rest of the payment is due two weeks prior to your wedding / photoshoot.

Each event is unique. Wedding day quotes are customized to fit your specific needs. Full day coverage begins at $10,000. For a complete, custom estimate please reach out to me.

We strive to perfect every image we deliver, sometimes retouching even the tiniest details to perfection. For this reason, we prefer to give the expectation of a 6-8 week turnaround on your wedding images. You will receive sneak peeks within a few days of your event, delivered digitally and through social media postings (unless otherwise agreed upon) and you may even receive a few more throughout the editing process.

Yes. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to edit all of the photos that I send to you in your gallery. Although I do not do extreme Photoshop edits, I always aim to be sure you look your best in each photo.

I use a Canon 5d Mark III and a variation of Canon lenses depending on the shoot. My favorite lens is an 85mm f 1.2 lens.

I’m willing to travel and do so frequently. Additionally, I shoot at all the top venues, beaches and parks within San Diego for my photoshoots. However, there is an extra travel fee for any shoots that require travel outside of the San Diego County area.

This is a part of my job to be able to pose you and I will help you every step of the way to make you feel comfortable posing in front of the camera.

I love a good mix of posed and candid photography. I want to make you feel comfortable and relaxed in your shoot and bring out your best in you and your loved ones through the photos we create together. My editing style is timeless, not trendy or white washed, and usually full of color and depth not usually seen in other photographers’ work.
