Bay Park History
How it got its name: The neighborhood was named by its developer, Peterson Realty Company. An earlier name was Bayside Village.
Landmarks: The University of San Diego, in the Morena area, was ranked as the most beautiful campus in the nation by the Princeton Review. Tecolote Canyon Natural Park is named for the owls that live in the canyon. The park was once used for farming and ranching.
